Cover or leverage?
Survivor is a relative game — finish first, don't just go deep. Where do you stand against the entry you're racing (your partner, or the field leader)?
Level on both rounds and goal differential. A little separation helps: take the slightly higher-margin or lower-owned side so a tie resolves your way rather than coming down to nothing.
Ownership matters too. Late, a champion pick's value ≈ P(it wins) ÷ how many share it. If you're chasing and everyone's on the chalk (Argentina), fading it for a lower-owned finalist can win the pool outright instead of splitting a multi-way tie.
